Qwest helps schools through e-billing

Qwest Communications customers in Moffat County who switch to automatic and electronic billing can give back to public schools of their choice, says Craig Daily.

The company recently started a new programme for its automatic and electronic bill paying customers.

The initiative will donate an amount equivalent to 1% of the customer's monthly bills to a public school district of his or her choice.

Combat postal costs with e-billing

Large mailers are getting more serious about pruning bad addresses, up customers for online bill-paying and other measures to mitigate the effect of rising postal costs, says Crain's Detroit Business.

Rates for first-class mail, standard mail, periodicals, package services and special services are scheduled to increase on 12 May.

Eleven percent of the 2.8 million MichCon-Detroit Edison customers who get a bill from the company each month have signed up for electronic billing, eliminating their paper bills entirely.

E-metrics summit imminent

The eMetrics Marketing Optimisation Summit London will be held on 20 and 21 May at the Hotel Russell, Russell Square, London, says U Talk Marketing.

Thought-leaders, industry analysts, consultants, vendors and key members of the media will identify and discuss the latest issues, insights and trends in online measurement and optimisation.

Rufus Evison will be a keynote speaker at the 2008 London Summit. Currently at insight company Dunnhumby, Evison is advising Tesco on the development of its online business, including the store's Clubcard loyalty programme.
