O'Keeffe & Swartz was awarded five medals at the recent Global Contact Centre World Awards, in Las Vegas.
"Last year, we only entered one category and won gold. This year, all five of our finalists from the EMEA Regional Awards who went on to compete for the Global Awards in Las Vegas, won awards," said Michelle Finch, head of marketing, innovation and new business at O'Keeffe & Swartz.
Regarded by many as the ultimate industry recognition, representatives from around the globe were in attendance. The South African telemarketing call centre company and its candidates picked up two gold, two silver and one bronze award across five different categories.
"Being able to participate in these awards, learn and share best practices, and represent SA on the global stage was a phenomenal experience. To win in multiple categories is a true testament to our success and a significant achievement for us, but more importantly, for our people. We are extremely proud of the team who represented us at both the EMEA Regional and Global Awards," Finch added.
Winner of the gold Best Workforce Planning Professional award, Vijay Vettiyamkunnath, head of campaign management at O'Keeffe & Swartz, described winning the award as recognition of his personal achievements on an international platform. "Personally, it is reiteration of the fact that I work for a great company that is a true leader in the contact centre industry. I really feel honoured having won this award among the best in the contact centre world."
IT operations manager, Marco da Silva, walked away with the Best IT Support Professional award.
"I am extremely honoured to have been able to represent O'Keeffe & Swartz and myself at these awards. Presenting at this level has taught me a great deal and it's been an amazing experience," said Da Silva, adding that the accolade proves O'Keeffe & Swartz is a world-class business with world-class employees. "It has not only been beneficial to the business and to me, but to many of my staff, who are now aspiring to compete and win in future awards."
The silver awards for Best Quality Auditor and Best Outbound Campaign went to quality assurance manager Mxolisi Dube and Trent Lockstone, head of client development, respectively.
O'Keeffe & Swartz's Dillon Pillay, a senior sales manager, won the bronze award for Best Supervisor.
The brand is having a good year awards-wise, having scooped seven awards at the 2012 Contact Centre World EMEA Regional Awards, in London, earlier this year.
"The industry we operate in, our clients and staff can be proud to be associated with an organisation that strives for excellence in all we do," said Finch. "Winning these awards demonstrates our drive towards world-class best practices."
