The new BS8050-3V "Piranha" can be defined by its snappy reading performance and portability, providing the convenience of always having a scanner at your fingertips. With dimensions of 88mm x 46mm x 24.5mm, it is small enough to fit into a pocket and light enough to carry around all day.
Despite its small size, the Piranha maintains an excellent performance, scanning virtually all 1D bar codes seamlessly. Ability to read 2D bar codes is in development. The Bluetooth wireless function can be used to pair the Piranha with a PDA, smartphone and tablet application. This adaptability and portability makes it the perfect solution for retail and warehouse environments, and ticketing and ordering applications.
Its core technology is solely developed by Newland, demonstrating an unprecedented decoding capability on standard 1D technology. Users can create their own applications with Newland's development tools to identify particular images and symbols. Compatible with BT 4.0, 3.0 and 2.1, the bar code scanner enjoys enhanced data rate.
