Hisense has introduced its new mid-range C30 Rock smartphone to the South African market. The device is aimed at those who need a robust device.
The C30 Rock has a rubber outer casing and metal frame, which the company says will provide durability. The device is dust- and water-resistant, with IK04 level shock resistance and IP68 certification. The smartphone can be submerged in depths of up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.
It has an HD 5.2-inch display and is driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 64-bit processor. The C30 Rock has a 3 000mAh battery and quick-charge functionality. It has a dual hybrid SIM, which allows users to either run two SIM cards or one together with a microSD memory card.
The smartphone features a 16MP back camera and a 5MP front-facing wide-angle camera. The camera features phase detection autofocus that reaches targets in 0.1 seconds.
The smartphone has a recommended retail price of R4 499 and will be available at retailers nationwide.
