The latest release of the document automation platform for SharePoint, Qorus DocGeneration, adds new features to reduce the time and cost required to generate client touch-point correspondence documents. Qorus DocGeneration automates the customisation and generation of highly detailed and complex client documents, such as quarterly portfolio reports, general provision documents and fund fact sheets.
Cape Town, South Africa: Relate Technologies, provider of Microsoft services to the financial services and retail sectors, today announced the availability of version 14.3.2 of Qorus DocGeneration, the document automation platform for SharePoint. Relate Technologies is a South African reseller and implementation partner for Qorus DocGeneration.
Qorus DocGeneration connects Microsoft Word and PowerPoint directly to information sources such as SharePoint, CRM, SQL databases and other enterprise systems with the aim of producing accurate, client-ready documents within minutes.
The latest release enables users to insert dynamic tables, charts and graphs into Word and PowerPoint documents. Users can now link categories and series in graphs to columns in worksheets taken from any table data source, as well as filter what data gets displayed in a chart. The latest release also includes support for Excel as an additional data source.
"Financial services companies in particular are burdened by the requirement to provide a growing number of complex, customised documents to their clients on a frequent basis to ensure they comply with regulatory and legal mandates," says Geoff Lander, MD of Relate Technologies. "As a result, document automation is becoming a business-critical requirement to ensure compliance and to minimise the risk of litigation and regulatory penalties.
"The latest features enable financial services companies to use Qorus DocGeneration as an enterprise document production facility to render legal and compliance sensitive information into client documents according to a structured method," continues Lander. "The addition of Excel as a data source, for example, enables the inclusion of even more customised and variable content, such as effective asset allocations for a relevant period and entire client investment portfolios, which vary for each recipient of a final document. Plus, the added support for charts and graphs enables fund managers to generate highly visual reports and presentations in minutes."
Qorus DocGeneration is helping financial services companies such as J O Hambro, Exeter Friendly Society, Sanlam Structured Solutions, Generali International and EDF Trading comply with regulatory and legal requirements by enabling them to automate the customisation of their technical literature, fund fact sheets, general provision documents, fund policy contracts and quarterly portfolio reports.
"Qorus DocGeneration's ability to rapidly generate highly customised documents has generated a significant return on SharePoint investments across the financial services sector by dramatically reducing the time and effort required to generate client documents and minimising the risk of litigation due to human error or failure to comply with regulatory and legal requirements," concludes Lander.
