Emptoris named leader

Emptoris, a provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, has been positioned as a leader in a recent Forrester Research report, says Market Watch.

The report is titled: 'The Forrester Wave: Contract Life-Cycle Management, Q3 2008'. Emptoris received the report's highest score for 'Current Product Offering'.

The report reviewed 13 contract management software providers and evaluated them on 110 criteria.

Selectica upgrades

Selectica, a vendor of enterprise contract life cycle management products, has upgraded its Selectica Contract Performance Management platform with new features that further shorten time-to-contract, says TCM Net.

"Many of our customers tell us that speeding time-to-contract is an important part of their contract life cycle strategy," said Anthony Roth, senior director of product and strategy for Selectica. He added: "Our objective is to simplify document handling and speed time-to-approval for new contracts."

With CPM 3.2.2, documents can now be accessed from within e-mail, including wireless e-mail, such as on a BlackBerry, company officials say.

Contract manager named

Diamond Wire Technology, a manufacturer of diamond wire and diamond wire saws, has hired Kim Kasprzycki as its new contract manager, says Solar Industry.

Kasprzycki has been managing contracts for six years and has a background in commercial and US government contract management.

She has had a variety of opportunities to work with different industries, including manufacturing, satellite communication, research and development, civil engineering and healthcare.
