BWise shows successful Q2
BWise, a provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software solutions, had continued success for the second quarter of 2008, coming off of a record growth period for the first quarter, says Market Watch.
The company's grew its Europe revenue 334% and US revenue 66%. License and maintenance represented 73% of revenue, and worldwide staff grew by 39%.
In addition to these accomplishments, BWise welcomed new customers in several industries including financial services, manufacturing and real estate.
IT Governance Institute upgrades
The IT Governance Institute updated its Val IT framework, a set of proven practices to help enterprises realise value from their investments in information technology and IT-enabled change, says Market Watch.
The Val IT Framework 2.0 broadens the scope of Val IT to encompass all IT expenditures including ongoing IT services, assets and other resources.
The new edition adds depth through management guidelines that provide greater detail on the Val IT processes and key management practices, as well as maturity models for each Val IT domain.
Governance project launched
The Center for Technology in Government at the University at Albany-SUNY launched a new project to pilot an enterprise information technology governance framework for New York state government, says Source Wire.
The enterprise governance framework will be collaboratively developed over the next 16 months with key stakeholders responsible for IT decision-making within the state.
Throughout New York State, government agencies are already investing in some form of information technology enterprise initiatives and, as a consequence, New York finds itself in greater need of an enterprise-wide governance framework for IT decision-making.
