Healthbridge was started in 1999 with the explicit purpose of transforming healthcare and enhancing people’s lives by democratisation of information.

Today we provide an extensive range of stand-alone and cloud-based clinical and billing solutions to over 5 000 medical professionals nationwide. Our client base includes General Practitioners, Dentists, Optometrists, Specialists, Allied Professionals, Pathologists and Radiologists, as well as a large proportion of the private hospital network, including Life Healthcare and Netcare.

2017 •iHealth is acquired. Company with advanced software solutions for Bureaus.
2015 •myMPS is launched. Cloud-based billing and clinical practice management with the unique Dr App.
2014 •Healthbridge 360 is launched. An enhanced service for selected clients with specialised reports.
2013 •Benefit Checker is launched. Patient benefits can be checked prior to appointment
2012 •mypractice Capture with Collections is launched. An online system that is safe from computer crashes.
2010 •mypractice Capture is launched. Claims can now be captured and stored securely online.
•Tradebridge* was listed as one of South Africa's Top Performing Companies 2010.
2008 •Tradebridge holding company is formed, Healthbridge becomes a member.
2007 •Recon Relief is launched- allows practices to automatically reconcile remittance advices directly in their PMA.
2004 •Entered the Optometry market.
•Healthbridge wins a landmark Competitions tribunal ruling that opened the healthcare switching market for fair competition.
2003 •Medical professionals can send claims to all medical aids via Healthbridge.
2002 •Hospital Suite is launched. This is a suite of products that improves admin inefficiencies between hospitals and medical aids.
2001 •Rated No. 2 top e-commerce company in SA by Bain & Company and Financial Mail.
2000 •Real-time claiming is launched. This will later become known as the Processed Claim.
1999 •Founded together with Internet Solutions and Dimension Data.
