Adam Barrie-Smith is lead solution architect at iOCO Analytics Solutions. He has been working in the South African technology market for over three decades. In 1985, he graduated from the University of Cape Town with a BSc in Computer Science.
During the 1990s, he was partner / owner of a software consultancy that focused on building a bespoke line of business applications. In 2004, Barrie-Smith was invited to establish the Johannesburg office for Qlik Master Reseller in South Africa. He remained in that role for a decade-and-a-half, which facilitated access to the Master Reseller's largest clients in South Africa and established deep insight into the art / science of working with data.
In 2021, Barrie-Smith was appointed to the position of lead solution architect, iOCO Analytics Solutions business unit, with primary responsibility for vendor solutions and specifically, Qlik. In this role, he assists customers to utilise Qlik solutions to solve problems through understanding and working with data that enhances business performance, service and growth prospects.
