Dr Wesley Moonsamy is a senior information systems lecturer at the University of Pretoria. He has over a decade of industry experience in implementing solutions at some of South Africa’s largest organisations.
His fascination with healthcare systems led him to transform his expertise in the customer relationship management arena into patient-centred systems. He researches healthcare systems, particularly within the developing country contexts, from an architectural perspective to determine how best to connect systems and securely disseminate information.
He has a keen interest in South Africa’s plans to implement the National Health Insurance and is contributing toward healthcare systems design.
