Hisense SA unveils new additions to Infinity line.

Hisense South Africa has added the H12 and H12 Pro models to its Infinity line of affordable smartphones, helping users 'Do You. Do Life'.

Both phones feature an X-Infinity Display, with the H12 having a 6.19-inch screen and an HD+ resolution of 720*1500 that lets users see 269 pixels per inch. The H12 Pro, on the other hand, is equipped with a 5.84-inch screen and Full HD+ resolution of 1080*2280, enabling users to enjoy 391 pixels per inch.

Each of the new additions also boasts a wide colour gamut (80% on the H12 and 84% on the H12 Pro), which not only means more colours, but more lifelike ones too. Vivid colours, coupled with the clear resolution, contribute to the phones' superior display capabilities.

When it comes to capturing meaningful life experiences, memories and moments, the H12 and H12 Pro's dual camera design, comprising 12MP and 5MP rear cameras, deliver photos of exceptional quality.

The main 12MP camera comes equipped with an image sensor that shoots in 1.25?m pixel sizes for spectacular photos and features an F1.8 large aperture that lets in more light for great pictures, even in poorly lit settings. What's more, this camera uses Phase Detection Auto Focus technology and takes less than 0.1 second to focus. The 5MP secondary camera helps to achieve special effects like the blurry Bokeh effect.

The dual camera also allows for multiple shooting modes. These include night shot mode, which takes multiple frames for shots in low light, smiling face mode that uses a smile to trigger the shutter and panorama mode for capturing a 360o view of a scene, along with super slow mode and defog mode for taking photos in any setting, regardless of humidity, fog or smog.

Another photographic feature on both phones is the selfie camera. The 16MP camera on the H12 and 20MP camera on the H12 come with a large aperture of f2/0 and a soft selfie light. These, combined with the Beauty Shot function that minimises facial flaws and enlarges and brightens eyes, ensures Instagram-worthy images.

The phones offer exceptional security. Not only do they use fingerprint identification, but also Face Unlock for unprecedented privacy protection. The instant a user picks up his/her phone and looks at it, the phone will recognise 194 facial features and unlock within 0.5 seconds.

In terms of performance, the smartphones are super-slick, thanks to their processors. The H12 has a Qualcomm SMD450 processor that helps the phone to perform powerfully and efficiently without draining the battery, along with an Octa-Core that supports the phone for fast connectivity and vibrant displays.

The Pro version is kitted out with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile platform, which includes a Qualcomm Spectra ISP, a Qualcomm Kryo CPU built on ARM Cortex technology and a Qualcomm Snapdragon X12 LTE modem for downlink speeds of up to 600Mbps. Designed to support advanced photography and enhanced gaming, the Snapdragon 636 boasts a long battery life and fast LTE speeds.

Storage is a cinch, with the H12 having 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM and the H12 Pro having 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM. This also enables faster loading and smoother switching between apps.

In addition, these incredibly efficient smartphones are equipped with a multifunction key for speedy access to apps and the Android Oreo operating system for tackling tasks more swiftly. Plus, they can be operated even with wet hands and gloves.

Available in a choice of three colours: blush pearl, black and midnight blue, the phones have been designed to be both thinner and lighter, with a thickness of only 7.8mm, achieved by merging the in-cell display technology and layers of the display into one. Despite being so slim, they have a battery with a storage capacity of 3 500mAh, meaning it can survive an entire day's use.

The H12 will be available from 1 August and will retail at R5 499, while the H12 Pro will be obtainable from 1 October at a retail price of R7 999.
