Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has taken ownership of the Philips warranty for monitors in South Africa and the SADC region. The announcement represents an important step in the companies' strategic partnership, which has seen DCC distribute Philips monitors to South African reseller and retail partners for almost 20 years.
The DCC Philips warranty support offers an exceptional four-year carry-in and immediate swap-out unless the monitor is physically damaged. The warranty service will be available at DCC's head office in Johannesburg and branches in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Botswana, Namibia and Mozambique.
According to Bruce Byrne from DCC, a deciding factor in the distributor's decision to take on the additional support responsibility is Philips monitors' incredibly low failure rate.
"Philips is today one of the leading manufacturers of monitors, its technology innovation is industry acknowledged and its exceptionally low failure rate internationally admired. It simply made sense for us to extend our services to include Philips warranty support."
Adds Chris Barnes, Philips Monitor Country Manager: "Philips monitors' longstanding relationship with South Africa has seen us consistently provide the newest and advanced innovation in display technology to local consumers.
"An important part of our local journey has been our strategic distribution partnership with Drive Control Corporation, which has driven our market penetration to both resellers and retailers."
