Avanade, a global business technology solutions and managed services provider, announced it added two C-level executives to its global management team. Avanade named Florin Rotar as its first Chief Technology Innovation Officer (CTIO) and Stella Goulet as its first Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). These executive moves prepare Avanade's leadership team and the company for continued double-digit growth as it pushes aggressively toward $2 billion in revenue.
Ian Jordan, executive vice-president of Sales, Marketing, Innovation and Alliances, said: "Our enterprise customers have complex challenges that require business technology solutions to drive new levels of results. Florin and Stella bring deep expertise in understanding customer needs, and how to deliver market-relevant innovation that customers need. Together, they will help us advance Avanade's unique position in the market as a services innovator in Microsoft technologies."
Rotar has been with Avanade since its inception 12 years ago, serving most recently as regional chief technology officer for the Nordics. As CTIO, Rotar will develop and communicate Avanade's technology vision to its enterprise customers worldwide, helping them to use a more structured innovation approach to realise business results, by harnessing the power of the Microsoft platform through the convergence of key technology trends such as cloud, mobility, social computing and big data.
Rotar will also lead all aspects of the company's technology development, being responsible for Avanade's Innovation & Incubation function worldwide
"My job at Avanade is to infuse customer-centric innovation and industrialisation in all of our services, to help customers achieve the best results for their business," said Rotar. "The way our customers work is changing fast, and so is the role of IT in supporting those changes. We build innovation into every stage of our solution development and delivery to help our customers navigate these market dynamics and harness the value of emerging technologies."
As CMO, Goulet leads Avanade's global marketing organisation, guiding the company's corporate brand and service offerings through a period of high growth and significant change in the IT industry. Goulet joins Avanade from Capgemini, where she led global marketing as corporate vice-president. A former member of Forrester's CMO and Marketing Leadership Group and the Information Technology Services Marketing Association (ITSMA) Advisory Board, Goulet is a vocal advocate for evolving how marketing teams contribute to sales and build corporate brand reputation.
"It's an incredibly interesting time in the technology sector to take on the role of CMO at Avanade," said Goulet. "Widespread use of mobile devices, cloud services, information and social collaboration is causing a tectonic shift in the partnership between IT and business in large companies. Better alignment of marketing with sales, innovation and other business functions will help us ensure our Microsoft-based offerings are relevant and our message to the market is clear, differentiating and valuable to customers."
Rotar and Goulet take on their responsibilities immediately.
