Schneider selects UltiPro Workplace

Schneider Downs & Co, one of the top 50 US public accounting, tax, and business advisory services firms, selected human capital management solutions provider Ultimate Software's UltiPro Workplace, reports Benzinga.

Schneider Downs had been relying on a payroll service bureau in addition to multiple databases for HR, which required considerable data reconciliation and also made consolidated reporting difficult.

Having real-time information accessible for reporting was critical to the accounting firm, so HR associates knew they needed to make a change and chose UltiPro for comprehensive HR and payroll management.

FedExField deploys biometric credentials

Telos Identity Management Solutions has delivered the MobileAssure Access Control system to credential and verify the identities of employees and contractors at FedExField, says Third Factor.

Employees will use fingerprint scanners for verification. The system is capable of integrating with HR management, scheduling and payroll systems.

The Telos system is scalable and capable of exchanging data with multiple HR management, scheduling and payroll systems, helping staff scheduling, time and attendance reporting, and reconciliation and payroll processing.

SaaS for HR management

It is recognised that IT can help organisations manage their processes and information more efficiently and cost effectively, but HR managers are not IT specialists, writes HR Zone.

They just want an easy-to-deploy, reliable and low-risk solution that helps them achieve their business objectives. A historical lack of investment in IT for HR has meant many HR professionals desperately need to upgrade their systems.

However, organisations can now take advantage of the latest technology without the stress and expense of a traditional IT implementation through software-as-a-service applications, which require less up front capital investment, are hosted by a third party and are made available “on demand” over the Internet.
