Canon SA hosted its annual golf day on 16 October at the Centurion Golf Country Club. With the theme: “Driving forward", Canon welcomed partners and customers for a day of networking, friendly competition and commitment to sustainability. This year’s theme brought Canon’s core philosophy of Kyosei to life – working together for the common good by directing resources towards sustainable efforts.
In keeping with Canon’s commitment to a greener future, the event registration bags, caps and shirts were made from recycled or sustainable materials. Waterhole sponsors were keen to implement at least one initiative that was driven by a sustainable goal, adding a meaningful touch to the day. Thanks to our generous sponsors, the event raised over R35 000 for NGOs committed to sustainable causes.
Our partners and customers showed true commitment both to the game and the social networking for which the game of golf is so well known. Master of Ceremonies, Dan Nicholl, kept the energy high at the evening awards function and engaged guests with wit and humour, as players stepped on the stage to receive their well-deserved prizes. Participants left with incredible prizes, while sponsored gifts totalling over R15 000 further celebrated the event's ethos of giving back.
The day not only fostered valuable connections among attendees, but it also underscored Canon’s mission to drive positive change in partnership with those who share our values. Here’s to many years of driving forward together.
