Arch Tower POS

Spinnaker Software, supplier of Arch Retail Systems, a market leader in integrated retail management solutions in southern Africa, has recently launched a new all-in-one POS machine.

This in-house designed hardware solution was put together with inputs from a number of POS clients, as well as experienced Spinnaker personnel, calling on years of experience in the store environment. The machine integrates a touch screen interface, a PC, a scanner and a slip printer, all into one unit. The advantages of the machine are:

* A compact footprint on the check-out counter (space efficient);

* Low and easy maintenance - minimal mechanical parts, PC-component is fan-less with external power supply, and individual components are easily accessible;
* The machine also comes optional with either a 7-inch or 11-inch LCD customer display, presenting the transactional info to the customer, but the retailer also has the option to run customised advertisements on the display panel (store ads or paid-for ads of suppliers); and
* The Tower POS also incorporates a customer signing plate, which is custom-branded for the respective store/group.

The Tower POS unit has been very popular since launching it into the marketplace, with machines already operational in a number of Food Lovers Market, Oxford Food, OK Foods and Cambridge Foods stores. Feedback from the stores to date has been very positive in terms of aesthetics, functionality and efficiency.
