Woman tries to sell soul on eBay

A woman in New Mexico has offered to sell her soul in order to help make ends meet, KSee24.com reports.

Nothing is off limits to the winner of the auction on eBay, and the woman told NBC she would “deliver the opportunity for someone to save my soul”.

“I'm at the point now, I'm tired,” she explained. The woman, known only as Lori N, told NBC that she was in a bad car accident in 2007 and had never fully healed. In that accident, she suffered a broken hip, pelvis, leg, collarbone and sternum, as well as broken ribs.

According to New Jersey Newsroom, Lori N wrote on her eBay listing: “What I'm going to deliver is the opportunity for someone to save my soul. They can save it through prayer, they can save it through conversion. And I'm also going to give them a certificate detailing the white and black marks on my soul.”

The woman realises her listing may offend some people's religious beliefs, but Lori N says she doesn't mean to offend anyone.

Lori N hoped to get $2 000 for her soul, but had no bidders in the early going. The link to the site listing says the item is no longer available, so eBay appears to have taken it down.

eBay forbids users from selling body parts, but a soul wasn't necessarily covered in its policy.
