Weebly simplifies Web design

Web site builder, Weebly, has unveiled a content management system called Weebly Designer Platform that integrates Web site design, hosting, and client management into a centralised interface, reports The San Francisco Chronicle.

The Designer Platform provides designers with tools to help them build sites faster, manage more clients, while giving clients the ability to easily update their own Web sites through a portal branded with the designer's company logo and colours.

Venture Beat reveals that Weebly CEO David Rusenko says the platform offers advantages over using WordPress for both designers and their clients. He states that the platform doesn't require a separate hosting solution.

Tech Crunch says depending on how the designer configured the site, the client will be able to make simple tweaks using the Weebly interface. Then, once the project is complete, the client will be able to add additional content, pages, forms, and other features using Weebly's platform.

Weebly's target market is aimed directly at small businesses, giving them a feature-rich Web site without the hassle that's normally involved, according to The Next Web.
