Web Africa releases static IPs on Business Uncapped products

In addition to its new Business Uncapped product launched in April this year, Web Africa has now included static IPs to the value-add of this product.

Static IPs will be available as of today on all Business Uncapped products, for the once-off cost of R1 499. Users will get five static IP addresses and a 7402X Billion router, which will configure the static IP service automatically upon connection. There will be no contracts associated with this service.

A static IP address is different to a dynamic IP address, because it is manually assigned to your computer and remains the same unless manually changed.

The benefits of this are:

1. You have remote access and can connect to your PC wherever you are.
2. You can host your own Web site.
3. You can host your own mail server.
4. You can host an FTP server.
5. You can host a gaming server.

To sign up for this service, you will need to have a Business Uncapped account as well as a 7402X Billion router from Web Africa. You can either sign up for Business Uncapped ADSL via the Website, or as a Business Uncapped customer, you can add on static IPs via the DSL Console.
