Popular video-on-demand (VOD) service Netflix launched in 130 countries this month, including South Africa. To provide a seamless service to the South African consumer, the company will be making use of the Teraco-funded NAPAfrica Internet exchange (IXP) in Johannesburg.
The South African Netflix Web site was launched on Wednesday, with advertised prices starting at roughly R127 per month, with a free month's trial. Popular TV shows that South Africans can watch on Netflix include hits such as Suits, Dexter and Weeds.
