Unisys has announced the appointment of Dick Tilley as VP and GM for emerging markets, covering the company`s Africa, Eurasia and Middle East (AEME) regions.
The company has also announced the appointment of Kevin Fynn as VP and GM for Unisys in Africa, reporting directly to Tilley. Both appointments are with immediate effect.
Tilley will be responsible for overall management of operations for each of the AEME regions, working closely with leaders in each country. He is currently based in the UK, leading Unisys business for Eurasia and the Middle East, and has done so since 1999.
Unisys says Tilley will continue in this role while continuing to work closely with the Unisys business unit heads to drive growth across all of the company`s strategic programmes.
Prior to his UK assignment, Tilley worked for Unisys in SA for 19 years, in a variety of senior sales and sales management roles.
Africa operations head
Unisys Africa`s new GM, Kevin Fynn, was promoted from his previous position as area sales director for Unisys Africa.
He takes over a post left vacant by previous incumbent Henry Ferreira, who left Unisys Africa to join Microsoft SA, in August.
Fynn will also be an executive director of Unisys Africa and a member of the board of Unisys Africa. The position carries responsibility not only for sales and operations, but also for the growth, staffing and development of the organisation across the full portfolio of Unisys` services.
