Union warns against payroll system
The Queensland Public Sector Union (QPSU) says it is a risk to change the payroll system for police, ambulance and fire officers, following problems in the health payroll, states ABC News.
The QPSU says the Department of Community Safety was next in line to switch to a new system, but all payroll changeovers have been put on hold because of the Queensland Health problems.
A report from the auditor-general yesterday warned of possible problems with fraud and other security issues, potentially affecting pay systems across government.

SaaShr.com, a provider of SaaS with a major push in workforce management solutions, has entered a partnership with Time Systems, a payroll service bureau and time and labour management vendor based in Michigan, reports PRWeb.
With the provision of a time and labour management application through the SaaShr.com partnership, Time Systems, also known as Michigan Payroll Plus, will expand its prospective market in the southwest Michigan area.
"We're not looking to become a state-wide or nationwide resource; instead we're focusing predominantly on southwest Michigan," explained Monty Wilson, owner of Time Systems.
