According to Drikus van der Walt, product manager for HP Servers at SDD, the NetServer 1000r is ideal for Internet service providers and well as application service providers. "With this special offer, we are also separating compatible HP accessories such as hard drives, additional processors and RAID controllers to allow our customers to configure these two-way machines to suit their needs," he reveals.
Key features of the ultra-slim (IU) machines include up to 4GB of RAM, dual Ultra-3 SCSI controllers, dual 10/100 network interface cards and up to three hard drives for a total of 109GB of storage space.
