Traxion's digital integration drives volumes
Traxion, the digital communications division of Sells Printing Company, has selected XMPie's Personal Effect and uStore along with a Xerox iGen3 110 Digital Production Press, and implemented a team with data, design, programming and production expertise in the digital media space, writes American Printer.
The division selected XMPie because it needed a scalable solution for variable-data printing, dynamic Web sites and personalised e-mail, combined with solutions for developing Web portals and personalised imaging capabilities.
It was also important to Traxion that its solution leverage Adobe publishing technologies through a seamless and streamlined integration.

UV-curing specialist ITL has invested £100 000 in extending its LED UV applications facility, says Print Week.
The company has increased its available space by 30% and installed a large-format hybrid printer and a narrow Web digital label printer, as well as conventional flexo and small-format litho machines, for technology partners and printers to use as test beds for LED UV ink application development.
Managing director Adrian Lockwood says ITL had also been working on a number of screen-printing projects.
US imaging market evolving
According to Millennium Research Group, the complex competitive landscape of the US diagnostic imaging equipment servicing market is continuously evolving as imaging facilities seek to cut costs, reports PR Canada.
Competitors in this market range from smaller service providers that concentrate on providing servicing for just one modality, to larger independent service organisations and original equipment manufacturers.
The diagnostic imaging equipment servicing market is extremely fragmented, with large-scale vendors such as GE Healthcare, Philips Healthcare, and Siemens Healthcare holding a dominant share of the market.
