TOPCALL International AG, a leading international supplier of messaging and telecommunications solutions today launched the TOPCALL Communication Server ONE, its true unified messaging server for enterprises. Customers can now deploy one unified messaging server from one vendor that integrates all communication services - FAX, telex, X.400, Internet mail, EDI and now voice mail - in one. Add to that one world-wide service and support organisation and customers are now able to strategically integrate all means of communication. By adding TOPCALL VoiceMail to the already well-established TOPCALL product range, the new Communication Server ONE provides the full set of communication services at the user`s fingertips.
So for the first time ever, the Communication Server ONE introduces the corporate desktop user to the real world of unified Messaging. The newest module, TOPCALL VoiceMail, is an integral part of the Communication Server ONE and delivers the full functionality of a classic voice mail system in terms of user interaction and features all closely integrated with e.Mail and workflow platforms such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and later Novell GroupWise. This is a complete solution that today provides the corporate desktop user with an easy-to-use solution for transparently sending and receiving all different types of communication.
Martin Hannah, CEO of TOPCALL International AG on the market situation: "TOPCALL Communication Server ONE is a completely unique product. This is because so-called unified messaging products pre-existing in the market are a contradiction in terms being comprised of several products unified only by joint marketing agreements between different vendors. Companies are becoming more and more aware of the fact that a strategic view is going to improve their business practices. This also means that they are looking for one vendor that can provide them with one product and therefore one solution: a unified messaging solution cannot easily be anything else. We are in a good position to deliver a true unified and technological superior product putting us in a prime position in the market."
The first customer installations of the TOPCALL Communication Server ONE are going to take place in August of this year. TOPCALL Communication Server ONE is also available as a simple upgrade to approximately 3500 existing TOPCALL customers worldwide.
Nicol Erasmus, Managing Director of TOPCALL SA states: "The worlds 5 th biggest energy utility corporation situated in Johannesburg, Southern Africa is using TOPCALL as their messaging backbone together with SAP R3. The Communication Process Re-engineering (CPR) expands across all of the desktop users in messaging utilising Least Cost Routing applications"
Herbert Blieberger, Technical Director of TOPCALL International AG states: "We have a clear vision on the role of voice and ultimately video in messaging together with other media like FAX, telex, Internet mail, SMS in applications like workflow, EDI, ERP. Technologies like IVR (Interactive Voice Response), text-to-speech conversion, speech recognition and CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) will play an increasingly important role in business processes. We are fully committed to enable customers to strategically integrate those technologies into their existing and future environments. Underneath the TOPCALL VoiceMail module announced today are the building blocks which serve as the base for all future developments and you will see some more products from us in the near future."
The convergence of voice and data is a clear trend in the market. The benefits of Unified Messaging are becoming more and more clear to the corporate user base. The real integration of all different communication streams into one server and ultimately consolidated administration to improve business processes are just a few of the strategic advantages. TOPCALL comes to this market with its 21 years of messaging experience to offer a proven product from a proven vendor.
