SAPICS, the Association for Operations Management, in association with Involvation, offers the “ultimate experience in the value chain” once again to the South African supply chain community.
The 2012 Fresh Connection supply chain simulation game will begin play around the world on 5 March 2012. More than 40 teams from South Africa will participate, and SAPICS hopes South Africa will field the winning team!
The Fresh Connection is an ideal development opportunity for all involved in optimising the value chain and increasing business performance. It engages participants from all over the world in making strategic and tactical decisions in order to save the fictional company, The Fresh Connection, from financial ruin. Not only does this highly interactive simulation allow participating teams to measure up against global competitors, but also to learn from them.
Says Ken Titmuss CFPIM, CSCP, Director of SAPICS: “The Fresh Connection Game provides delegates with team and leadership challenges in communication, decision-making, co-operation and alignment of strategic 'out-of-the-box' thinking. It gives a real-life supply chain experience within a simulated environment at no risk.”
The highest-rated team from South Africa may win the chance to be invited to the final global play-off, in Barcelona, later this year.
