Cointel, a leading telecommunications value-added service provider, has launched its Fax-to-Email service, allowing companies to streamline customer services while moving into the technological age of a paperless office environment.
The technology is simple and it also acts as a revenue generator on all incoming faxes. Customers are assigned as many free Telkom Premium Rated Service numbers as required and incoming faxes are forwarded to a designated e-mail address at the same speed as a normal e-mail.
"The Fax-to-Email service is not only cost-efficient, but it will also increase customer service as important documents and customer queries are sent directly to an e-mail address and not left at the fax machine only to get lost in other piles of paper," explains Janene Matsukis, sales manager of Cointel.
Once the Fax-to-Email service has been installed, users will receive faxes free of charge, while the sender is charged R1.90 including VAT per fax. For all outgoing faxes, users will need to buy credits via credit card, as it is a prepaid service. Outgoing faxes that are less than 50KB are charged at 77c and over 50KB, R1.06 including VAT.
"This is definitely a sought-after technology as more companies are looking for ways to streamline business processes while finding alternative means of generating revenues. Fax-to-Email makes provision for this as you are able to save on the purchasing of paper, keep paper trails and paper clutter to the minimum while ensuring that customers receive quality service," concludes Matsukis.
