A quiet week for the Government Gazette as tenders - across all categories - appear to hit a go-slow.

Of interest though is SITA's tender for the provision of connectivity and access solutions to the NGN for a period of five years. It is also advertising for services that will “augment” its supply chain management staff - further clarification is not supplied.

Call for nominations

ISETT Seta

ISETT Seta is calling for nominations for members to serve on the MICT Seta. (The Media Seta is merging with ISETT Seta to become MICT Seta, as of 1 April.)

Audit committee

Requirements:
* An excellent understanding of Seta functions, ICT sector, skills development and related legislation.
* Must display a strong financial management, auditing and risk management background and appropriate experience in this working environment.
* Be independent and have knowledge of the status of the position.
* Have extensive leadership skills and prior experience of serving on an audit committee of a medium to large organisation.
* Have appropriate experience and skills to ensure an appropriate duty of skill and care in exercising their duties as per the requirements of the PFMA, Companies Act and King (III) Report on Corporate Governance.
* Represent MICT Seta interests and contribute towards the strategic objectives of the organisation.
* Membership of a recognised professional body will be an added advantage.
* A fair understanding of the regulatory framework within which the Seta operates.

Responsibilities:
* The roles and responsibilities of the audit committee members are clearly outlined in terms of section 77 of the Public Financial Management Act (PFMA) and applicable Treasury Regulations.
* Reporting to the MICT Seta board.
