This week's National Tender Bulletin opens with a muted collection of new opportunities. These tender advertisements are largely dominated by requests for a variety of process-specific systems with some space left over for calls for services.
It is the results section, however, that is the main feature. With less than five tender cancellations and as many as 20 contracts being awarded, it is the results section that bulks up the latest edition of the bulletin.
Highlights include Vodacom securing a R1 billion contract to supply mobile communication services to the state for the next few years; the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform revealing its negotiations on the price initially submitted by the winning bidder; and the Education, Training and Development Practices Seta proving there is still money to be made in training.
