Telkom intros new voice bundles

Telkom's new voice minute bundles include all-network minutes, mobile minutes and fixed-line minutes.

Telkom has introduced a range of mobile voice bundles it says should give customers more flexibility in managing fluctuating business and personal voice usage demands.

The new voice bundles, which are now available for purchase, will mean customers no longer have to incur the higher cost of out-of-bundle voice minute usage, says the company.

"Now, once customers have depleted their available voice allocation, they can purchase voice bundles at an in-bundle rate instead."

Telkom MD of consumer and mobile services, Atilla Vitai, says the latest voice product enhancements are part of the company's renewed focus on the customer. He says there will be many more offers to follow.

"The introduction of voice bundles reduces the need for customers to irregularly switch between calling plans, especially when on contract," says Vitai.

This comes after Telkom on Monday introduced enhancements to its prepaid data bundles, including reduced pricing and wider coverage.

Voice minutes bundles can be purchased once-off or as recurring voice bundles to add to current accounts. Voice minutes bundles will be billed on a per-second basis.

They come in three variants - all-network minutes, mobile minutes and fixed-line minutes - and are available for all postpaid, saver, topup and prepaid subscribers.

Once-off voice minutes bundles expire at the end of the next calendar month from the date of activation.

Recurring voice bundles will be carried over to accumulate a maximum of six months' worth of unused voice bundle allocations before the first-in-first-out rule is applied towards forfeiting the unused voice bundle allocation.
