Telerik unveils agile project management solution

Telerik, a provider of software application lifecycle and content management solutions, has unveiled its latest milestone release for its agile project management solution, reports Sys Con.

TeamPulse is aimed at improving software team planning and collaboration, a variety of new features including backlog management, e-mail notifications, and enhanced communications functionalities are making their debut.

According to SD Times, Joel Semeniuk, executive VP, agile project management division at Telerik, describes the portal UI as “social media meets Microsoft Metro; a sort of Google+ meets Facebook meets TeamPulse.”

“It is outside of the main application and is HTML-based, and HTML5 compatible, so it can run on every device. It allows end-users to submit product requests and see the progress of their requested features,” says Semeniuk.

The new module enables teams to view and plan all work items (such as User Stories, Bugs, Issues, and Risk) in a single environment, writes Dr Dobb's.

Users can easily prioritise items via drag-and-drop functionality in the Backlog view, simplifying the project planning process.

With this release, Telerik also offered details of the new TeamPulse Feedback Portal system and its e-learning and training services. The HTML-based portal will facilitate capturing of user feedback and comments, without requiring those users to first obtain a TeamPulse software license.
