IBM South Africa mandated TCM Networks to have a complete network infrastructure designed and implemented for its recent investment - a US$15 million Data and Business Continuity Centre, situated in Stonemill Office Park, Cresta, Johannesburg.
"TCM has provided IBM with an intelligent totally managed infrastructure solution consisting of active scanners, network monitoring management, and maintenance of the LAN environment," said Ron Wale, the IBM Infrastructure Manager for the Data and Business Continuity Centre.
This project entailed providing IBM South Africa with a turnkey Panduit Integrity managed infrastructure solution. The installation consisted of leading-edge technology, implemented over a course of four months, to support the new IBM SA Data and Business Continuity Centre.
TCM's networking solutions are created for the individual client's demands, and include the design, planning, installation, implementation as well as management and maintenance of network infrastructures.
TCM's networking infrastructure solution installations include fibre transport systems, data and voice reticulation to the desktop, multicore voice trunk backbones and collapsed fibre optic backbones. Cabling solutions offered by TCM carry 15 and 20-year warranties.
