As part of its plans to become a major player in the corporate Web service provider arena, local Web design and custom software specialist, Syncrony, will acquire full control over the business operations of FourWays IT.

A Syncrony statement says Web hosting company FourWays IT has sold its entire operation to the company, in a deal that will result in a substantial increase in market share for Syncrony within the SA corporate Web design market.

Dr Howard Rybko, CEO at Syncrony, declined to reveal specific details of the deal, but noted the development will result in significant value to all parties.

“This takeover will increase our Web design customer base and we are confident that our content management skills will provide the existing FourWaysIT base with an enhanced service. We will push our expertise in online marketing into the new base and expect a rapid transfer of benefits.”

According to Rybko, Syncrony is focused on the delivery and expansion of online presence via Web sites, online marketing and social media for its corporate customers.

He claims the company will benefit from this acquisition by the expansion of its corporate customer base as well as an increase in contract billing revenues.

Both companies work in the Web development space and have expertise in using the DotNetNuke content management system. They have been working together for the past three years on various Web-based projects.
