SPI, the African distributor for utility software products and services to the open systems segment of the IT industry, today announced it had been appointed as the southern African reseller for Esker, a leader in document process automation solutions.
“We have been searching some time for a company that was able to offer document processing automation solutions, and was continuing to invest substantially going forward in this very important segment of the market,” commented Chris Anderson, Managing Director of SPI. “Our clients currently with these types of solutions were facing a significant transition, and we needed to be able to offer them a progressive and attractive option for their future.”
“Although we had a small presence in Africa, with some of our non-document solutions, we needed to find a company with the correct profile that would do justice to our document automation solutions in the African market,” added Alistair Nicholas, Sales Manager for Esker. “SPI fits that bill very well and we wish them every success as they embark on this exciting new initiative.”
“In addition, Esker offers unique value to businesses running SAP, with the best-of-suite platform that works together with SAP applications to eliminate manual processing of documents,” continued Anderson. “Whether it is used in the cloud or on-premise, the Esker platform creates a seamless automation environment for intelligent processing of data and documents flowing into and out of a SAP system.
“We have already converted some of our current clients to the Esker suite, and thus look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with Esker over the coming months and years,” concluded Anderson.
Esker, headquartered in Lyon, France, is a recognised leader in helping organisations reduce the use of paper, eliminate manual processes and simplify IT landscapes. With its comprehensive platform, Esker delivers the benefits of automated document processing as on-demand (software as a service) and on-premise solutions. Customers achieve significant operational efficiencies, cost savings and ROI in as little as three to six months, while gaining visibility and control within order-to-cash and procure-to-pay business processes ranging from sales order management and accounts receivable to purchasing and accounts payable. Founded in 1985, Esker operates globally with more than 80 000 customers and millions of licensed users worldwide.
