Spescom supplies voice recording technology to Siemens

Multinational technology innovator, Spescom has supplied proprietary voice recording technology to Siemens Southern Africa.

Spescom DataVoice, the voice transaction management operation of the group, has provided DataVoice Orion Recording solutions and DataVoice Libra recording platforms.

According to Spescom senior executive, Interactive Solutions, Paul Fick, the DataVoice Orion solutions are used for recording voice on specified devices and will aid in customer satisfaction and fraud detection.

"Siemens' customers will use the DataVoice Libra platforms to record telephone calls on certain extensions. Information gleaned from analysing recordings will be used to improve client satisfaction."

Fick says Spescom and Siemens have enjoyed a special relationship for a number of years, one of the highlights of which was a joint venture concluded in the early 1990s. This deal resulted in the successful launch and deployment of Spescom's proprietary pre-payment metering technology in 44 nations around the globe.

Fick concludes that the Spescom DataVoice recording systems are full featured, cost-effective and fully compliant in terms of new legislation governing voice recording and transaction record keeping.
