Sony restores PlayStation Network

Sony started restoring game services for the PlayStation Network on Saturday, and the “restoration” will begin in stages, reveals Cnet.

The electronics company said nearly its entire portfolio of online games, game forums, and Web sites will go back online, but the company will also require PlayStation 3 players to reset their passwords.

The PlayStation Network will be restored first in the Americas, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East. Japan and other Asian countries will come online at a later date.

Under the proposals, firms such as financial institutions and energy companies could lose the control and management of their own security systems if the US government deemed them to be inadequate.

According to a report from the BBC, the plans are designed to counter threats such as attempted data theft by other states and cyber attacks on financial institutions.

Osama Bin Laden's compound may not have had phone or Internet service, but it did have porn. Lots of it, according to The Register.

According to Reuters and ABC News, the massive smut stash was seized by the US commandos who stormed his Abbottabad, Pakistan, hideout and shot him in the face almost two weeks ago.

The stash was found in a wooden box in Bin Laden's bedroom and was referred to as “huge” and “extensive” by officials.

The star became the first person to pass nine million followers on Twitter in March and overtook Britney Spears last August.
