Solution Worx: A new and unique organisation

Johannesburg, 20 Aug 2002

Solution Worx recently announced its entry into the local market as a national, multi-vendor and independent image solutions company.

Originally established in 2001, the company has now been officially launched.

"Peripheral IT is an area that has been neglected by all ICT companies, since the skills base required is very different from the traditional IT market," commented Neven Hendricks, Director of Solution Worx.

"Historically, these skills have resided at the hardware providers of peripheral equipment, such as copier and printer companies.

"Solution Worx aims to be product-independent and thus provide the best solution for a client at the best value for money, and consequently focuses on why people print, and what they do with the print, instead of how they print; a unique approach within the IT industry.

"The saving is due to getting people to print more intelligently. Total lifecycle management of peripheral IT equipment, and the efficient and effective management of related consumables ensures that the client always enjoys a cost reduction in this area," continued Hendricks.

"Consistent monitoring of the inputs and outputs is a combination that is unique in the market. We do not see ourselves in competition with traditional copier and printer companies, but rather filling the gap in the management of the products and services they deliver."

Solution Worx is 65%-owned by Ethembeni Financial Services (Pty) Ltd, with its employees holding the remaining shares. The company is under the chairmanship of Gerald Majola.

Solutions Worx is based in Gauteng, with a national presence in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Bloemfontein, as well as in Limpopo.
