Business and accounting software company Softline Pastel has gone mobile.

The company last week rolled out mobile business applications for the accounting, marketing, payroll and personal finance needs of a business.

Pastel My Payroll

Pastel My Payroll Online is an online payroll solution offering businesses payroll administration, leave application and tracking functionality. "Ease-of-use was a key consideration when designing My Payroll Online," said Karen Schmikl, business manager for Sage Online Payroll in SA.

"Legislation compliance is built-in. Our priority was make legislation easy." The solution is aimed at small business owners, Schmikl said, adding that a gap existed in the payroll market for a straightforward solution with limited functionalities.

The application is cloud-based, meaning there is no installation of software. As far as implementation is concerned, all fields and parameters are pre-defined for loading and immediate use.

Pastel My Webspace

"Pastel My Webspace is an online marketing platform for small businesses," according to Claude Chesselet, director at IronTree Internet Services.

"The solution is a cloud-based, online marketing machine that includes a built-in Web site and mobile site. It enables users to manage all aspects of their online presence."

Pastel My Webspace allows companies to create marketing campaigns and track and manage these campaigns. The solution has links to social media and also features built-in search engine optimisation.

Pastel My Business

Pastel My Business Online is an accounting program designed specifically for the small business owner. The system allows users to manage customers, suppliers and inventory items and keeps track of sales and purchases.

Transactions can be mapped to automatically assign the correct accounts and the solution comes with a list of reports in order to symplify the creation of month-end management packs.
