Soarsoft International, a specialist of archive, migration, messaging, collaboration and information governance solutions in southern Africa, has announced the availability of Acaveo's flagship product, Smart Information Server, on the Discover Program.
Smart Information Server is a tool that offers in-place information management and analytics for unstructured data. The Discover Program offers an economic means of accessing and utilising the software's value for short-term projects such as identity and access audits, defensible deletion, file server clean up and consolidation, data migrations to SharePoint or the cloud, eDiscovery and more.
"Corporations and consultants sometimes need software tools to complete short-term projects involving unstructured data. The problem is that vendors and partners typically want to sell a perpetual licence or annual subscription, both long-term commitments that will put the short-term project over budget. The Discover Program addresses this need by offering Smart Information Server, a powerful information governance technology, at economical rates for short-term projects," says Chris Hathaway, Director at Soarsoft International.
Smart Information Server also allows organisations to trial the solution with a 90-day paid subscription to discover the benefits that more effective information governance can deliver to their organisation. At the end of the 90-day subscription, organisations can then choose to upgrade to an annual subscription or perpetual licence, or to walk away with no strings attached.
"Many organisations are looking for ways to better manage the data that lives in File Shares, SharePoint, Exchange, Office 365, and file sync and share solutions, because they want to reduce risk and realise cost savings. Using Acaveo Smart Information Server on the Discover Program is perfect for projects such as file server clean-up and consolidation, identity and access rights audit, audit and tag data in relation to retention schedules and other policies, and the defensible deletion of old, unused and orphaned data," says Hathaway.
With the massive explosion in data growth, as well as best practices outlined by the King III Report, and the Protection of Personal Information (POPI) Act in South Africa, effective data management is more important than ever. Organisations will need to safe guard and prove that sensitive customer information is deleted once it is no longer required, which requires sophisticated tools particularly when it comes to unstructured data. Smart Information Server enables organisations to govern data at its source in order to avoid over-complexity and unnecessary costs. The Discover Program from Soarsoft International is ideal for any short-term information projects that require fast and effective software tools to intelligently discover, analyse and manage unstructured data.
