Siemens, Polycom integrate UC

Businesses will be able to benefit from an integrated unified communications (UC) platform from Siemens Enterprise Communications (SEN) and Polycom, says Computing.co.uk.

The partnership will see Polycom's telepresence and high-definition videoconferencing products integrated with SEN's OpenScape UC platform as part of a global resale agreement.

SEN will also offer Polycom's range of visual communication solutions, including telepresence, videoconferencing and desktop video collaboration applications.

Toshiba unveils Strata Call Manager

Toshiba has unveiled its Strata Call Manager, a unified communications solution, according to Channel Pro.

It's compatible with the Strata CIX family of IP business communication systems. Toshiba's vice-president of product management, Shahin Hatamian, says the new Strata Call Manager gives SMEs a "highly effective communications solution".

Strata Call Manager's Ribbon GUI is based on the Microsoft Fluent user interface. The Ribbon groups common features and functionalities together. The Ribbon format also features multiple tabs, each with a special function.

Altitude rolls out monitoring software

Contact centre solutions vendor Altitude Software has unveiled its Altitude Health Monitor, an application designed to provide contact centre IT managers with a continuous monitoring capability providing real-time and historical data on overall system performance, states TMCnet.

The company says the application will allow IT managers to react rapidly to events that may affect the operation of the contact centre.

Altitude Health Monitor value resides in the wide scope of specific Altitude uCI, Altitude vBox and contact centre infrastructure metrics such as database performance, storage occupancy, the number of agents logged, trunk status and configuration changes.
