Telecommunications and connectivity solutions provider Session Telecoms has unveiled a fibre offering, to cater to the Internet needs of businesses and home estates.
The move takes place amid accelerated need for broadband services in SA because of the rise in work-from-home and home-office environments spurred on by the COVID-19 lockdown measures.
Session Telecoms says its new fibre-based offering is aimed at providing value to the developers of estates and business parks by “affordably and effortlessly” connecting and customising fibre-based solutions.
Felicity Menge, VP of sales and marketing at Session Telecoms, comments: “In the telecommunications arena, phrases like customisable or turnkey solutions are so overused, which is why I am so weary to say that our fibre-based solutions will be customisable to fit the needs of the developers.
“Yes, of course that is to be expected. Instead, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that always-on-Internet such as that provided by fibre has so much more to offer. I could harp on about reliability, signal strength, latency, security and the amortised cost savings that fibre brings with it because these are the facts.
“I would also like to define the word ‘customisable’ by challenging the industry to think about customer-specific needs, adaptability, responsiveness, user-defined, after-sales service, trouble-shooting and purpose-driven technology that fibre connectivity can provide if done with foresight.”
With a national footprint, the Centurion-based company customises telecoms and connectivity solutions for South African businesses and home estates.
According to Menge, connected homes and office parks are no longer the future, they are the now.
She adds that connected developments that are purpose-built with the end-users’ needs and considerations in-mind are no longer a nice to have, they are an expectation.
Furthermore, they add financial value to any modern establishment, with services such as permanent, fast-speed access to the Internet, WiFi, voice-over-IP, high-definition video and numerous other Internet protocols.
Fibre is the future because it’s no longer about separating voice, video and data. This is the power of fibre; it is the foundation for the digital stream, which will overcome prohibitive issues such as bandwidth and cost, she emphasises.
“The prohibitive cost of outlaying for fibre is being offset quickly by its numerous benefits. The amortisation of fibre speaks for itself. Session Telecoms is ensuring we compete not only on service and turn-around but also on price and after-sales care.
“Infrastructure design, installation, maintenance, link-up to external telephony, latency, guaranteed symmetric speed and other perks such as centralised television networking are all par for the course, and at unbeatable service and price structures.”
Menge concludes: “I am inviting all developers, home owners’ associations, body corporates and sectional title holders to get in touch for a competitive quote or simply to discuss the benefits that fibre with Session Telecoms will provide. It would be our privilege to be of service and to break it down easily, understandably and without the jargon that can sometimes get very confusing.”
