A contract to supply, implement and support a SAP Business One financial and accounting ERP software system for Pretoria-headquartered automotive component manufacturer and supplier, Flextech Manufacturing, has been won by SAP Business One specialist 4most.
The solution is expected to go live by the end of September, and will deliver financials, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cashbook, purchasing, sales, MRP (manufacturing resource planning), inventory, workflow, manufacturing, approval procedures, and alerts all operating on a local area network (LAN).
Eugene Olivier, director at 4most, said terminal server technology will be deployed at a later stage to bring Flextech's Port Elizabeth and Durban branches into the SAP Business One system.
“The manufacturing module will enable Flextech to improve control over stock and finished product costs, while the MRP functionality will enable detailed planning of stock availability for production.”
Olivier adds that the SAP Business One solution will provide a fully integrated system with a 360-degree view of the operations. The ERP functionality will ensure better control over debtors, creditors and stock, production, approval procedures, alerts, unlimited warehousing, and in the near future, the linking of three offices via a central server. This will open up new opportunities for the business in terms of improved control.
Other features such as dashboards, iPad integration and HR management will also assist management and improve services to customers.
