JSE-listed Huge Group has appointed former Virgin Mobile SA financial director as its new chief financial officer (CFO, with effect from 25 March.
In a statement, the company says Sequeira is a chartered accountant with experience in the telecommunications industry, having previously been financial director of Virgin Mobile SA.
During her tenure at Virgin Mobile, she was responsible for leading and managing the finance team, as well as key financial planning and analysis.
Sequeira replaces Zunaid Bulbulia, who resigned from his roles as CFO and director of Huge Group and its subsidiary companies.
Bulbulia's resignation was effective from 31 December 2018. A former MTN SA CEO, Bulbulia joined Huge Group as a non-executive director in January 2016 and was appointed as CFO in March 2017.
Sequeira earned a Bachelor of Accounting Science and a Bachelor of Business Administration. After completing an Honours Degree in Accounting, she qualified as a chartered accountant.
Huge is an investment holding company listed on the main board of the JSE. The group includes Huge Telecom, a company that delivers fixed-wireless telecommunications services to clients, through a network of over 700 business partners.
It also owns Huge Connect, a subsidiary company that delivers standalone fixed-wireless telecommunications solutions to the SME market.
Huge Networks, a network service provider and data communications company that markets and sells a variety of products and services, including Internet data services, managed network solutions, branch connectivity, hosting services, and Web site and system development, is also part of the Huge stable.
