Sage Pastel Accounting and SAICA, proud sponsors of Ivan Zimmermann's Tour d'Afrique journey from Cairo to Cape Town, welcomed the actor back to South Africa following his gruelling 12 000km journey across Africa.
Zimmermann arrived in Cape Town on Saturday, 9 May, having set out from Cairo on 9 January. At the homecoming event at the V&A Waterfront, Sage Pastel Accounting also announced Martine van der Merwe as the winner of its Sage Pastel Leaders Never Quit Pledge - an opportunity for a small business with true grit to win over R30 000 in business-boosting prizes.
Says Daryl Blundell, General Manager of Sage Pastel Accounting: "We sponsored Ivan's ride because we saw similarities between his journey and the long roads small businesses travel to success in South Africa. Like Zimmermann, entrepreneurs must be dedicated, forward-thinking, and strong to succeed.
"As South Africa's biggest supporter of small and medium sized businesses, we think his journey is an inspiration. At Sage Pastel Accounting, we are well aware of the difficulties that businesses can encounter on the road to success, but the end reward makes it all worthwhile."
