Golden Neo-Life Diamite International (GNLD), a global health and wellness company required an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that could enable it to streamline its order and distribution management process.
The company opted to implement Sage ERP X3, a proven solution for mid-market customers with international ambitions and multinational requirements, which fit GNLD perfectly.
GNLD is committed to helping people take control of their health, not only physically but also financially. Since 1958, it has been providing health for the whole family, with its whole food NeoLife nutritionals, scientifically formulated Nutriance personal care, and environmentally friendly Golden Home Care.
It has more than 50 years' of experience, and is currently operating in more than 50 countries. Its mission is to improve lives by offering the highest quality products.
"GNLD used a legacy order entry system. The ability to process orders more effectively globally was a big requirement for us," says Marco Taylor, Executive Vice-President GNLD in the Africa region. "We required a modern ERP system for the capturing and distribution of new orders. It also had to include an offline mobile and cloud application element. Sage ERP X3 met those requirements and further provided us with the data integrity that we needed, budget management, stock control, fixed asset management and the provision of solid management reporting."
GNLD placed its trust in Sage as the preferred vendor, due to its proven track record of successful ERP implementations with its expert partner network. "The executive team at GNLD gave their full support to the implementation of Sage ERP X3 from the start, which greatly facilitated buy-in from users," says Taylor. "The entire process started with financials and distribution for South Africa and has now expanded to deliver an entire ERP across Africa and selected European countries. Sage ERP X3 will be delivering a fully integrated online and offline order entry application for smart devices integrated directly to our custom order entry process, also built using the Sage ERP X3 development framework. The complexities of Africa and our reliance on maintaining our quality service means the system must always be available to place orders and the mobile apps will be used for offline processing and queue busting."
"One of the key aspects that GNLD's order and distribution management process needed was integration and alignment, which Sage ERP X3 excels at," says Keith Fenner, Vice-President of Sales for Sage ERP Africa and Head of Sage Middle East. "Our intimate knowledge of Africa has allowed us to take the latest technology release of Sage ERP X3 and embrace mobile technology to not only deliver a customised order entry process but extend this seamlessly to mobile. The ERP rollout will be delivered from the cloud as a fully hosted rollout adding 14 African countries and two European countries to follow. Sage ERP X3 is the natural choice for mid-market companies, and this is a shining example of a single-instance ERP," explains Fenner.
Fenner continues: "This is the 21st century. Businesses that don't accept credit card, mobile and electronic payments will quickly get swept up by the competition. It's important that the company can process any type of payment and ensure that the information from each order is processed efficiently. Our integration to all payment services, including mobile, makes it easy to process all forms of payment. One of the primary reasons businesses make the transition to ERP is to achieve higher revenue levels and drive expansion at low cost."
"Sage ERP X3 has enormous potential for growth, which perfectly aligns with our future business plans at GNLD. The order and distribution process will now be quicker and more enhanced. We have added a mobile function and will also be giving distributors access to certain modules. Having accurate and real-time information available is providing management with the means to make informed decisions, which is exactly what we wanted," concludes Taylor.
