Remmele Engineering early adopter is live on IFS Applications 8

IFS North America today announced that Remmele Engineering, a contract manufacturer serving the demanding aerospace and medical device markets, has gone live as an early adopter of IFS Applications 8.

IFS Applications 8, the latest version of IFS' enterprise software suite, includes a number of functional improvements, most of them suggested by current IFS customers, and will be generally available later this year. Remmele is one of a handful of IFS early adapters around the world working closely with IFS research and development teams to ensure that the release will meet the demanding standards of IFS customers.

“As a project-based manufacturer serving aerospace and defence markets as well as a mixed-mode manufacturer supplying the medical industry, Remmele Engineering is an ideal early adopter for IFS Applications 8,” IFS North America Vice-President of Established Customers Bob Corrigan said.

“There are many important innovations that are provided in this release, as well as many areas of improved functioning related to documentation control, product prototyping, project execution control and manufacturing operations. The enhanced functionality within IFS Applications 8 is a critical tool in our efforts to deliver customer intimacy, enabling us to provide seamless integration to our business and technical systems. It truly offers a competitive advantage in differentiating our company with the competition," Remmele Engineering, President and CEO, Paul Burton, said.

“IFS Applications 8's streamlined workflow and collaboration tools will help individuals and teams focus on process improvement and data accuracy versus software expertise,” Remmele Engineering. IFS Implementation Manager Leonard Huray said.

Industrial manufacturing is one of IFS' targeted markets. IFS has a broad customer base in the industry, focusing on medium-sized to large manufacturers that need support for complex order-driven and mixed-mode manufacturing across the extended enterprise. With strong support for project management, engineering, advanced scheduling, product configuration, and after-sales support, IFS' component-based business solutions are designed to help companies improve quality, contain costs, and improve their competitive position in manufacturing industry segments such as machinery, defence, fabricated metal products, and plastics. Industrial manufacturing companies also benefit from IFS' life cycle management solution, which goes beyond product life cycle management (PLM) to provide better integration and management of three critical business areas - products, customers, and resources - throughout their life cycles.

IFS Industrial Manufacturing customers include Chief Industries, Colfax Corporation, Kongskilde, Nolato Group, Bombardier, GEA Pharma Systems, PartnerTech, Stolle Machinery, V"olkl, and Johnson Pump.
