Returning for the sixth year in a row, the next instalment of the Public Sector ICT Forum (PSICT Forum) will take place on 23 April.
Similar to last year’s event, the PSICT Forum will be hosted virtually as a webinar in adherence with COVID-19 social distancing regulations. The theme for the event is: “Accelerated Digital Transformation & Inclusion as Drivers for Economic Growth”.
The PSICT Forum, organised by ITWeb Brainstorm, in association with MTN Business, is a platform for public sector ICT decision-makers to engage and discuss topics that are key to innovation in service delivery.
In addition, the forum provides the opportunity for ICT executives to detail how they are digitally reinventing their organisations in order to stay ahead of digital transformation, and the role of private sector, civil society, public sector and SMMEs in advancing digital inclusion and economic growth.
Past events have attracted top public sector officials, including communications and digital technologies minister Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, government CIOs, as well as the digital leaders of state-owned entities.
This year, the event will feature a keynote address from Dr Puleng Makhoalibe, CEO of Alchemy Inspiration. Recognised as a global leader in creativity and innovation, Makhoalibe specialises in design thinking, creativity, innovation, IT management, project management and strategy.
Her academic background includes a BSc in computer science and statistics, an MBA and a PhD in business management, and she’s also an alumnus at Singularity University’s executive programme on exponential technologies.
There will be a panel discussion, featuring Norbit Williams, director of information and communication technology at the Department of Small Business Development; Veronica Motloutsi, board member at Digital Council Africa; Jean Baptiste, director of health information systems at the Rwanda Biomedical Centre; and Wiseman Fihla, head of regions and provincial at MTN.
Furthermore, Mandla Mkhwanazi, digital business leader at Transnet and chairman of the PSICT Forum, and Noluthando Pama, GM of enterprise sales and operations at MTN Business, are also in the speaker line-up.
