Project managers get Scrappy

Kimberly Wiefling is an international project management consultant and author of "Scrappy Project Management: The 12 Predictable and Avoidable Pitfalls Every Project Faces", according to Emediawire.

Her new book helps project managers succeed when communications and timelines break down, results seem impossible, or teams are non-performing.

Wiefling shows project managers how to thwart Murphy's Law, and succeed by avoiding the 12 predictable and avoidable pitfalls every project faces.

Capella awards bursaries

Capella University, an accredited, fully online university with more than 20 000 students, has awarded $10 000 scholarships to 10 students enrolled in Capella's project management specialisations, according to PR Web.

"Capella realises the critical role project managers play in today's corporate environment," said Kurt Linberg, dean of Capella's School of Business and Technology.

"We are pleased to be able to contribute to advancing the project management discipline by awarding the scholarships to these dedicated individuals."
