Kaseya (http://www.kaseya.co.za), the leading global provider of information technology (IT) automation software for IT solution providers and corporate IT departments, today announced that Pretoria-based National Internet Technologies has adopted its IT Automation Platform to deliver managed services to its small to medium-sized customers across South Africa.
By using the Kaseya platform to centralise, simplify and automate network and systems support, the IT services company has virtually eliminated the amount of on-site visits. As a result, the same team of engineers is now able to support a much larger and more dispersed customer base, including companies located in Angola and Mozambique.
Pretoria-based National Internet Technologies is using the Kaseya platform to centralise the management of more than 60 servers and 750 desktops through an integrated, Web-based interface. Constant systems monitoring, and the automation of key procedures and tasks such as patch management, running virus scans and deletion of unwanted temporary files - carried out simultaneously across all client sites - are enabling National Internet Technologies to continuously take care of client systems and keep their customer's downtime to a minimum.
The platform's remote control features have also almost eliminated the need for National Internet Technologies' five engineers to travel to customer sites to fix problems or carry out routine systems maintenance. Productivity and efficiency has increased dramatically and each engineer is now taking responsibility for an impressive 150 endpoints. Because fewer employees are needed to monitor and manage a growing number of PCs and servers, National Internet Technologies has been able to apply this freed-up resource to further understand the needs and exceed the expectations of existing clients before taking on new clients.
