Answering a call with the new motion-activated headphones (MH907) from Sony Ericsson requires no pressing of buttons, in what the company says is a significant advance in technology for cellphone users.

According to Sony Ericsson, using the headphones is easy: plug the headphones into a phone, insert the earpieces, and listen to music. When there's an incoming call, simply remove an earpiece to pause the music.

The same can be done to pause music when there are no incoming calls, the company adds, as the user can simply take out either the left or right earpiece to stop the music.

Sonja Shear, head of marketing for Sony Ericsson SA, says the company's 'SensMe' control technology responds without a single press of a button and gives users a fun and inclusive way to interact with their phones.

“With the MH907, consumers can pocket their phone but still stay connected all day, every day, by simply plugging in or removing their earbuds. There is no need for a remote control or any buttons,” says Shear.

According to the company, the MH907 headphones work with most Sony Ericsson phones which have a fast port connector, but advises users to check the company's Web site for compatibility.
